We all are living at a time, when technology itself is inventing technology. Science is rapidly achieving such feats which, earlier, were thought impossible. In a way, science is changing everybody's life, like magic. Mobile, Computer and Internet has enchanted everyone. Connecting someone on social app, digital transactions, email, video conferencing, watching movies, playing games, sharing files and doing so many other things, has become so easy. It's like everyone is carrying the whole world in his pocket.
But most people are oblivious of the fact that Science can also be Misused. In other words, we all have forgotten the age old debate "Science: boon or curse". Common people normally take interest only in publicly discussed topics like sports, news, global warming, nuclear bombs, pollution etc. But they give no heed to the unnecessary permissions required by mobile apps, personalized advertisements, misuse of technologies etc. Whereas the actual truth is that the use and misuse of Science always go hand in hand. George Bernard Shaw had quoted "Science never solves a problem without creating ten more."
Strangely enough, billions of dollars are being spent every year on scientific researches, in the name of war, weapons, space expeditions, medicines and comfortable life, leading to millions of inventions and discoveries but not a word is ever told to people, about their misuses. But because of internet, people are slowly getting aware of such misuses. However there is a lot of confusion also, because of misinformation due to very little or excessive information on the internet.
What is Mind Control? Before trying to find the answer of this question, we must first know the difference between Hypnotism and Mind Control.
Hypnotism vs Mind Control
Most of the people will not be able to differentiate between hypnotism and mind control. In magic shows the magician looks in the eyes or uses a pendulum to hypnotize a person, who is called on stage. The hypnotized person than obeys the instructions of the magician. But this is not completely true. First, Hypnotism is not a magic and secondly, strong will-powered person can neither be hypnotized nor be forced to obey the instructions against his will. In reality, Hypnotism is a situation in which the Hypnotist or Magician give suggestions or instructions to the subconscious mind of a person, when he is in the state of heightened concentration. Actually Hypnotism is just a part of Mind Control.
Mind Control
Mind Control is a very controversial topic and there exists many theories on this subject. But the easiest definition of mind control is "to control, alter or influence the thoughts, behavior, emotions, and decision making process of a person, through psychological tactics".
Here is a list of some tactics for Mind Control: Brainwashing, to control or limit the power of thinking of a person, through intimidation, to make a person hypersensitive towards some common thing, action or words and through this act, try to control that person's thought or behavior, influence someone by misleading or hiding the actual facts etc.
It is believed that through Brainwashing, it is possible to add new and unwanted thoughts in a person's mind. For example, in the book "Panchtantra", there is a story heading "The Brahmin and three Crooks" in which three Crooks meet the Brahmin separately in three different places and misleads him to believe that the animal he is carrying is a dog and not a goat. The Brahmin, fooled by the crooks, leaves his goat on road and goes away. The crooks get the goat free of cost, by brainwashing the Brahmin's mind. But mind control and brainwashing is not limited to stories only, and is used at a very large scale. It is believed that through brainwashing, innocent people are misled to join terrorism.
Science and Mind Control
The involvement of science in mind control, makes this subject a very serious issue. From as early as 1950-60's, scientific researches are being done continuously on mind control, but the same were kept hidden from everyone. But now, because of internet, people are getting information in bits and pieces, on this subject.

But after looking at the above patents, at least one thing is very clear that Radio Frequency, Microwave frequency, Electromagnetic frequency/field and sound waves are being used and experimented on human beings from as early as 1950-60s. This also shows that many activities and researches were being done on human mind, but this facts were not discussed openly, for some unknown reasons.
Now, scientists have even found ways to read thoughts of human mind and also opened ways for dream control. So the question arises, whether these achievements are result of continuous researches and experiments on human mind? Were the above listed patents ever misused? Were common people illegally experimented in this process? Why so many self proclaimed targeted individuals claim that they are being tortured and experimented upon?
